Ingredients:
In a small bowl, mix flour with about 3/4 cup buttermilk. The mixture
should look like a thick white sauce. Transfer to a heavy soup pot and
whisk in the remaining 3-1/4 cups buttermilk. Bring to a boil over medium
heat, whisking constantly. Reduce the heat to low and cook for another 8
to 10 minutes, stirring all the while.
Add the apple slices, sugar, and salt; continue to cook, stirring, for
another 5 minutes.
Serve hot with brown sugar on the side.
